MCM’s on site computer is entirely backed up weekly. The firm utilizes a zip drive for data backup, which is kept offsite at Mr. Vasquez’s residence. In the event of a building loss at Bernardo Plaza Dr or J St, MCM would contact the telephone company and re-route calls to their emergency operations base or a cell phone. MCM’s emergency operations base is located at Mr. Vasquez’s residence. Their emergency contact person/backup principal at this location is Mr. Vasquez. The following provisions have been made at MCM’s emergency operations base: they have computers and phones. Through MCM’s off site computer, the firm can access client account information and by phone, they will contact clients and the California Department of Corporations to let them know of MCM’ alternate location.
Damage to MCM’s filing cabinets could be partially irrecoverable. The firm would contact the various fund and insurance companies MCM works with and request old statements to rebuild historical documents. It is important to note that the chosen Brokerage Company can furnish additional copies of client account statements if necessary.
